lashing straps are necessary for the correct securing of luggage and loads.

Storecargo lashing straps follow the European standard EN 12195-2. These are lashing straps of the highest quality polyester and are composed of a lashing device, also called ratchet tensioner, and end pieces or hooks.

According to EN 12195-2, the lashing capacity of these straps is expressed in daN.

- The coefficient of use of ratchet hooks and tensioners must be able to withstand a minimum force of twice the value of its breaking force.
- The coefficient of the use of the tape must resist at least three times the value of the breaking force.
- The complete lashing system must resist a breaking force of at least twice the value of the load capacity.

In this section you will find two-piece and one-piece tie straps .

The one-piece tie straps consist of two parts:
a) The short part: containing a tensioner and a hook.
b) The long part, which has a free end, which is the tape, as well as an end piece. To use it correctly, we must insert the free end into the ratchet tensioner.

The endless lashing straps have a strap and a lashing device (ratchet tensioner). With these tapes the load can be tied in one go.

Lashing straps: advice for a correct load securing

1.
Check the status of your tape. A damaged lashing strap may lose load capacity.
2. Use tie wraps to protect the tie strap from the corners of the boxes.
3. Use your lashing strap only for tying, not lifting.
4. Do not tie your tie strap.
5. Do not fix your turnbuckle at the angle of the box.
6. Do not use lashing straps that are damaged, as they do not guarantee the correct securing of the load.
